As you read through each way Honda ensures passengers' safety inside the cabin, you're probably wondering the same thing a lot of our customers do.
Do these features actually make me safer?
Fortunately for you, two automotive industry giants have weighed in on the 2021 Honda Passport's safety rating & features.
The opinions of two industry authorities are the voices that ring loudest when it comes to vehicle safety. Lucky for you, both the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) and the IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) speak highly yet again about this year's iteration of the Honda Passport.
The NHTSA's safety rating measures how well a given model responds to how well a car maintains safety during a crash. The 2021 Honda Passport, like numerous Honda SUVs before it, received a five-star safety rating from the NHTSA. Testers were particularly impressed with how well this SUV reacted to side barrier and pole collision testing.
The IIHS gave a thumbs up to the Passport's ability to keep passengers safe when crashes happen on each side of the vehicle and especially spotlighted the front crash prevention system. Previous years' models have all received top safety pick designations from the IIHS as well.
Several factors point to the Honda Passport's dependable reliability. The first is the Honda Passport warranty. Each new Honda Passport is covered by a three-year, 36,000-mile limited warranty and a five-year, 60,000-mile powertrain limited warranty.
Secondly, it's the consistent care offered by Honda. Vehicles that have been driven less than 12,000 miles for less than a year are eligible for Honda Care Maintenance™. Vehicles that have been driven less than 36,000 miles for fewer than three years are eligible for Honda Care® VSC Plans.
And lastly, it's about the brand. Honda is consistently an industry leader when it comes to safety and is proud to make durable, long-lasting, and affordable vehicles that families can make a lifetime of memories in. Take your family fun far beyond the backyard, knowing that wherever your next destination is, Honda will keep your crew safe as you journey there together.
