Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keeping Assist System & Honda LaneWatch™
At some point in your travels while you are behind the wheel of your 2017 Honda Civic or Honda Accord, you may find yourself drifting into the adjacent lanes. That's why available Honda Sensing® offers a Lane Departure Warning and Lane Keeping Assist System. Together, these technologies will help you avoid swerving into nearby cars. Lane Departure Warning (LDW) detects when you leave your lane without using your directional, then attracts your attention to the change with a flashing alert and sound. Meanwhile, the Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS) takes a more active role in preventing collisions by adjusting the steering to bring the vehicle back to the center of the lane if you cross the line without signaling. Plus, you can take advantage of Honda LaneWatch™, which uses the camera on the passenger-side mirror to provide you with four times as much visibility via live video on your Display Audio Touch-Screen.

Forward Collision Alert, CMBS™ & Road Departure Mitigation
The Road Departure Mitigation System that's available in the 2017 Honda Ridgeline among other 2017 Honda models has a similar function to the LKAS. This feature ensures you stay in your lane by warning you with rapid vibrations of the steering wheel if you drift too close to the side of the road. RDM can even apply the brakes or adjust your steering to help you stay on the road. If you happen to approach an object ahead and a collision is possible, Forward Collision Warning will audibly and visually alert you, as it can detect vehicles in front of you with a small camera that's mounted on the windshield. The Collision Mitigation Braking System™ can then apply the brakes to prevent an accident.

What Honda Models Are Available with Honda Sensing® Technology?
While Honda model years 2016 and earlier are available with some of these driver-assistive technologies, the entire Honda Sensing® suite will be offered on high trims of select 2017 models, including the Honda CR-V, Civic Coupe, Civic Sedan and Pilot. Honda Sensing® is available in the 2017 Honda Ridgeline, Accord Sedan, Accord Coupe and Accord Hybrid. These innovative systems are standard on all trims of the 2017 Clarify Fuel Cell.
